Surprise Closure: Well-Known Las Vegas Strip Club Shutters Abruptly

Crazy Horse 3, a well-known strip club in Las Vegas that has been a fixture in the area west of the Strip for a long time, has suddenly closed its doors on August 11 without any prior notice to customers or explanation to staff, as confirmed by a club representative to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Management released a brief statement suggesting the closure is temporary and expressing gratitude for the ongoing support for Crazy Horse 3, with promises of sharing more updates soon.

Speculation is rife that a substantial renovation and potential financial restructuring are on the horizon for the property at 3525 West Russell Road, as employees have only heard rumors with no concrete details provided.

Crazy Horse 3 launched in 2009 under the leadership of nightlife expert Nando Sostilo, who has continued to be a co‑owner and operator. Despite starting during the Great Recession, the club swiftly rose to prominence as one of the busiest adult entertainment venues in Las Vegas.

Its regular lineup of dancers and hosting of parties during major events such as the Las Vegas Grand Prix, the NCAA Tournament, and notably the 2024 Super Bowl helped garner a loyal fan base, including notable figures like Travis Kelce.

The club’s social media accounts quickly seized on the opportunity, reposting the clip and acknowledging that Kelce unintentionally provided them with significant free advertising.

New Horse, Old Ghosts

The Crazy Horse brand carries a historical legacy in Las Vegas. The original Crazy Horse Too, established on Industrial Road in the 1980s, gained notoriety as one of the city’s most infamous strip clubs, attracting celebrities and later, federal investigators. Following allegations of racketeering, tax troubles, and a forced sale in 2013, the club’s former owner, Rick Rizzolo, lost ownership.

Although Crazy Horse 3 is not a direct successor to Crazy Horse Too, the use of the brand name was deliberate to capitalize on existing recognition in a competitive nightlife scene.

While Crazy Horse 3 evaded the legal troubles that plagued Crazy Horse Too, it could not avoid the recent economic downturn in Las Vegas. With a 7.4% decline in tourism in 2025, owner Nando Sostilio admitted to the R-J in August of last year that the entire city was experiencing a slowdown, marking one of the weakest summers in recent memory.
