The Mint Gaming Hall in Franklin has launched Kentucky’s largest retail sportsbook in collaboration with Circa Sports, based in Las Vegas. This opening represents Circa’s ninth venue in the United States and its inaugural establishment in Kentucky.
Spanning 5,100 square feet, it stands as the state’s most expansive retail sportsbook. Local residents, community figures, and Circa officials convened for a ribbon-cutting event where they showcased the venue’s impressive 80-foot-wide LED screen, a 31-foot odds board, numerous betting counters, kiosks, premium seating, and a live VSiN broadcast studio.
“We anticipate attracting sports enthusiasts from all corners of the state, including Nashville, eager to enjoy a fantastic atmosphere for sports betting and viewing,” commented Mike Palm, Circa Sports’ Vice President of Operations. He noted that initial events such as UFC and preseason football gatherings have already attracted considerable crowds, prior to extensive marketing initiatives.
The sportsbook is part of an 18,000-square-foot development at The Mint Gaming Hall. According to John Vidmar, the Vice President of Operations at Mint Gaming Hall, the sportsbook serves as “a premier venue” where fans can come together to engage in live sporting action.

Officials emphasized that this initiative highlights Franklin’s appeal as a hotspot, citing supportive regulations, attractive tax rates, and community backing as key factors behind Circa’s investment in Simpson County.
The sportsbook officially opened on August 23 during the kickoff game of Western Kentucky University against Sam Houston.
Venue Features
The sportsbook boasts 113 stadium-style seats, luxury recliners, and three levels of booth-style seating. Bettors can utilize five staffed betting stations, including an ADA-compliant option, along with four self-service kiosks, three of which are strategically positioned throughout the casino.
The VSiN studio will offer daily live insights, analysis, and coverage on game days, distributing content through broadcasts, podcasts, and various digital channels.
Derek Stevens, Circa Sports’ CEO, previously remarked: “We aimed to construct a space that captures the essence of Las Vegas while honoring Kentucky’s rich sports heritage and culture. We’ve developed a true sports hub that delivers an unparalleled viewing and betting atmosphere and acts as a central point for fans.”
Circa Sports also provides a mobile app for Kentucky, featuring options for straight bets, parlays, futures, live betting, and more. The app offers real-time updates, user-friendly navigation, and special promotional offers.
