The Las Vegas Aces are set to close down the Las Vegas Strip on Friday, October 17, to celebrate their third WNBA championship parade and rally in just four years. The Aces clinched the title with a 97-86 victory over the Phoenix Mercury in Game 4 of the finals at the Footprint Center, Phoenix, on October 10.

The celebration will kick off at 5 p.m. at the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard. Following the tradition of previous Aces parades, this event will progress north along the southbound lanes of Las Vegas Boulevard, making a left turn onto Park Avenue and Connector Road, ultimately concluding at Toshiba Plaza in front of T-Mobile Arena, the home ground of the team.

A two-hour rally will follow, filled with uplifting speeches and live performances. (In 2023, popular rapper 2 Chainz took to the stage.)

Toshiba Plaza will open its gates to the public at 3 p.m., with the festivities anticipated to continue until approximately 7:30 p.m. Moreover, a special Aces pop-up store will become available at Toshiba Plaza starting at 4 p.m.

Road Closures

While it’s an exciting day for devoted Las Vegas Aces fans, it spells trouble for visitors who are navigating the Las Vegas Strip for other reasons.

From 3 p.m. on Friday, access to driving on the Strip will be halted. Expect to encounter significantly larger crowds and engage in more walking than usual. Although the monorails will continue to operate, RTC buses will not be in service. Rideshare users are encouraged to drop off south of Tropicana Avenue.
