The theft occurred after two men, one of whom was a hotel guest, met two women at a bar in the resort’s lobby.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that one of the stolen watches valued at $1,200 was paid to one of the women through Zelle, a digital payments network.

Both women were eventually apprehended and charged with grand larceny, residential burglary, and conspiracy to commit grand larceny. One of the women also faces theft charges.

Prior incidents of similar thefts involving women being invited to hotel rooms and stealing expensive items have been investigated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
