In a touching response to a heartfelt plea on social media, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City has shown immense support after a mother’s request for help in finding her autistic 9-year-old son’s beloved teddy bear, known as “Tim.” This plush companion was supposedly lost during a New Year’s Eve visit to the casino.

“He’s had Tim since he was a baby,” Margie Lynn, Callen’s mother, shared in a Facebook post while tagging the Hard Rock. “I mistakenly thought he was in our bag and didn’t double-check. It breaks my heart. He wants to make missing person posters to bring Tim home. Not the best start to 2026.”
The post quickly gained attention, prompting the Hard Rock team to initiate a comprehensive search of the property. Housekeeping staff, security personnel, and even management joined forces to help locate the missing bear.

Teams meticulously searched guest rooms, corridors, elevators, housekeeping trolleys, laundry stations, and the resort’s lost-and-found. They even examined the hotel’s renowned music memorabilia collections and instrument displays.
“We know how difficult it is to lose a cherished friend,” expressed Michael Woodside, Vice President of Marketing & Entertainment at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, in a statement.
As of this moment, Tim has not been found, with time becoming critical — Callen’s 10th birthday is approaching on January 14.
Margie Lynn remains optimistic that someone on site, or a guest who may have accidentally taken him, will return Tim before the birthday celebration.
If Tim isn’t found, the Hard Rock has a thoughtful plan in motion. They have invited Callen and his family back for a complimentary birthday lunch at the Sugar Factory, where they intend to surprise him with a special gift.
“This situation holds a special place in our hearts,” stated George Goldhoff, President of Hard Rock Atlantic City. “If we can’t reunite Callen with Tim, we’d like to introduce a replacement bear — a cousin of Tim’s.”
Meanwhile, the search carries on, with both the family and the casino holding onto hope that Tim will ultimately return to where he belongs.
