Former President Donald Trump has a slight lead over Vice President Kamala Harris in a recent poll of likely voters in Nevada.
The CNN poll indicates that 48% of likely voters support Trump for president, while 47% prefer Harris.
The numbers are so close that they fall within the margin of error for the poll.
Overview of Poll
The poll also shows that Trump is gaining more support from women in Nevada, with 51% of women backing Harris and 46% backing Trump.
Furthermore, Trump is leading among white men with 56% support compared to 41% for Harris. He also leads among white women with 54% support compared to 42% for Harris.
Hispanic voters in Nevada are almost evenly split, with 48% supporting Harris and 47% supporting Trump. Both campaigns are actively seeking support from Hispanic voters in Nevada, who make up a significant portion of the population.
Among voters under 35 in Nevada, 53% support Harris and 39% favor Trump.
Independent likely voters in Nevada also show more support for Harris, with 46% backing her compared to 43% for Trump.
Trump is preferred for handling immigration, the economy, and foreign policy, while Harris is favored for dealing with abortion, according to the poll.
42% of those surveyed have already voted in the election.
The poll was conducted between October 21 and 26, with 683 registered voters participating. The margin of error is 4.6 points and the poll was conducted by SSRS.
Sportsbooks Analysis
In terms of betting odds, Trump’s chances were at 62% on Kalshi and 66% on Polymarket on Monday.
In Canada, OLG’s Proline reports that 52% of bets are on Trump, 35% on Harris, and the remainder on other candidates.
Various sportsbooks have different odds, with Trump typically favored over Harris.
Both Trump and Harris have campaign stops planned in Nevada’s Clark County on Thursday before Election Day on Tuesday, November 5.
