Turning Stone Resort Casino in New York set to launch a luxury hotel and upscale restaurant in July

On July 17, Turning Stone Resort Casino in Central New York will unveil its latest luxury offering, The Crescent, a 258-room hotel, followed by the grand opening of its upscale dining establishment, Salt, on July 22.

This expansion aligns with the resort’s strategic vision, led by the Oneida Indian Nation under Turning Stone Enterprises, to establish Turning Stone as the premier destination for meetings and conventions in New York.

The Crescent will officially welcome guests on June 29, ahead of its ceremonial opening in July. This hotel boasts 258 contemporary guest rooms that include enhanced decor, textures, and amenities tailored for a luxury hospitality experience.

Guests at The Crescent will enjoy direct access to the resort’s comprehensive spa, wellness programs, dining options, golf courses, entertainment, and gaming facilities. An on-site medical service, Rome Health Convenient Care at Turning Stone, will cater to both visitors and staff.

Located on the entire seventh floor of The Crescent, Salt will blend a steakhouse and seafood theme with breathtaking views of the Mohawk Valley. The dining venue will feature two expansive terraces for seasonal al fresco dining, plus four private dining areas specifically designed for group gatherings.

The resort aims to offer a fine dining experience that is both upscale and accessible, infusing elevated cuisine with local influences derived from regional landscapes, agricultural heritage, and historical context.

Turning Stone is collaborating once more with restaurant developer and strategist Elizabeth Blau, who will oversee the design of Salt’s culinary experience, including the menu, drinks, and overall patron journey.

Ray Halbritter, a representative of the Oneida Indian Nation and CEO of Turning Stone Enterprises, expressed that this expansion is crucial for positioning the resort as New York’s top destination for meetings and conventions.

“With our goal to become New York’s largest meetings and conventions hub, we prioritized elevating every element of the Turning Stone experience,” Halbritter stated. “The Crescent and Salt epitomize our dedication to providing a luxury experience that compares with the finest in the world.”

Blau emphasized that the restaurant will focus on creating an extraordinary culinary journey.

The experience at Salt will be unparalleled in the Northeast, meticulously designed to provide an engaging and distinctive gastronomic adventure influenced by the land and sea,” she noted. “I’m excited to collaborate once again with the Turning Stone team to elevate the hospitality standard and develop one of the most exceptional dining venues in the country.”
