The Miami Heat faced a major setback after losing guard Tyler Herro to a right ankle injury, sidelining him for the next two weeks. The former NBA Sixth Man of the Year reportedly underwent an MRI which revealed a Grade 2 ankle sprain. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Herro sustained the injury during a recent game against the Memphis Grizzlies after getting tangled up with their center, Jaren Jackson Jr. The Miami Heat will have to rely on other players to fill Herro’s shoes, with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo expected to pick up the scoring slack. The Heat also recently acquired rookie forward Jaime Jaquez from UCLA, who has shown potential after averaging 15.5 points in the last two games.

Despite Herro’s absence, the Heat have managed to rally, securing a five-game win streak after a slow 1-4 start to the season. They currently stand at the #3 seed in the Eastern Conference.
