The UFC has parted ways with fighter Isaac Dulgarian following reports of irregular betting behavior before his featherweight matchup against Yadier del Valle at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas.

Del Valle secured a victory via submission at 3:41 of Round 1. On Friday, BetMGM listed Dulgarian at -275 and del Valle at +220. The fight also saw a high volume of bets on Dulgarian winning by Decision/Technical Decision (+250).

According to ESPN, Integrity Compliance 360, a firm specializing in integrity monitoring and risk management for sports betting, warned its sportsbook clients about unusual betting patterns favoring del Valle to win in Round 1 ahead of the fight.

Suspension of Betting Activity

The betting line shifted notably from -275 to -154 as the fight approached, prompting multiple sportsbooks to halt wagers on the match before it commenced.

“As with many professional sports organizations, the UFC collaborates with an independent betting integrity service to oversee wagering on our events,” the UFC stated. “Our partner, IC360, monitors wagering on every UFC event and is currently conducting a comprehensive review of the Dulgarian vs. del Valle matchup that took place on November 1.

“We regard these allegations with utmost seriousness. In addition to the safety of our fighters, maintaining the integrity of our sport is of paramount importance.”

Refunds for Sportsbook Bettors

Despite his recent release, Dulgarian remains listed on the UFC website as a featherweight, known by his moniker “The Midwest Choppa.” He holds a professional record of 7-2-0, including four victories by knockout.

Caesars Sportsbook announced they would issue refunds to those who placed bets on the bout.

“Customers with losing wagers on the Dulgarian fight will receive a cash credit within 24 hours (for singles), or within 24 hours of determining the last leg (for Parlay/SGP/Super Parlay) if that bet was successful without that leg included,” Caesars Sportsbook posted on X.

Dulgarian Advocated for Fighters’ Share of Bets

Prior to UFC Vegas 110, Dulgarian made a noteworthy statement to MMA Junkie, suggesting that fighters should receive a portion of the bets placed on their fights.

“Don’t bet on me unless I’m receiving a percentage,” Dulgarian remarked before his match at UFC Vegas 110. “I’m the one doing all the work. That’s my perspective.”

“I believe there should be a clause whereby 3-5% of betting revenues goes to the fighter… So, if you’re betting on me, I want my share.”
