Looking for a quick buck, some people sink to lows and try to rob a casino – sometimes, even the very people who are meant to prevent such crimes. Latest in this saga is the attempt on a Merkur Slots casino in the UK. Unsurprisingly, the crooks were not successful in their mission.
With a bit of sneaky maneuvering and timing this past Tuesday, three men tried to break into the property in Hull. Their attempts to gain entry, however, didn’t go unnoticed.
The beleaguered thieves were still in the act when the police arrived. In their haste to escape, they left their tools, a noise-making power tool. The choice of weapon was not disclosed by the Humberside Police, but it is believed to be either an angle grinder or a reciprocating saw.

A quick escape was made by one of the three men, leaving behind his partners in crime. While the police are still on the lookout for these men, they ask for the cooperation and assistance of the public in reporting sightings.
To aid with the investigation, the Humberside Police urges the public to submit any camera footage, particularly from street surveillance, business security cameras, and doorbell cameras. However, there is no mention of a reward for information leading to the capture of the thieves.
Casinos have always been prime targets for crooks due to the cash they handle. Another incident occurred in Canada, this time with the thieves succeeding in their efforts at the Century Casino St. Albert, a Century Casinos property.
