Located in Brooklyn, the innovative sports gaming company Underdog has teamed up with the derivatives division of Crypto.com to introduce what they refer to as the first-ever prediction market exchange accessible through a significant sports gaming application.
On Tuesday, Underdog and Crypto.com’s Derivatives North America (CDNA), which is registered with the CFTC, revealed that sports event contracts will be offered to users directly inside the Underdog app, leveraging Underdog’s advanced technology.
This partnership grants American sports enthusiasts the opportunity to trade CDNA sports event contracts associated with outcomes from major leagues, including the NFL, college football, NBA, and MLB, with price updates occurring in real time.
“The rise of prediction markets represents one of the most thrilling advancements we’ve witnessed in recent times,” stated Jeremy Levine, Founder and CEO of Underdog. “Though still in its infancy and continuously developing, it’s evident that the future of prediction markets will focus on sports – and no one excels in sports like Underdog.”
“We are delighted to collaborate with Underdog to elevate the sports experience for customers across the country by enabling them to trade utilizing Underdog’s technology – all within a single app,” commented Travis McGhee, Managing Director and Global Head of Capital Markets at Crypto.com. “As the pioneers in offering sports event contracts, our technological collaboration with Underdog will expand access to CDNA’s cutting-edge offerings.”
Underdog is now uniquely positioned as the sole company that provides fantasy sports, sportsbooks, and prediction markets within a unified application. The organization possesses gaming licenses across multiple U.S. states, ensuring that their responsible gaming protocols are applicable to the newly introduced prediction market products.
