This rotating restaurant, situated 844 feet above the ground at the Strat, has consistently outperformed gourmet dining establishments and celebrity chef venues during 2024.

Another highlight is Cafe Americano, which earned two spots on this respected list — its locations at Caesars Palace (ranked No. 24) and Paris Las Vegas (ranked No. 41).

Las Vegas ranked fourth among US cities with recognized independent restaurants, following New York City (12), Chicago (11), and Miami-Ft. Lauderdale (8). Restaurant Business, which initiated the rankings in 2014, describes independent restaurants as those having no more than five locations in the United States.

Dining Updates

Siegel’s 1941, the mob-themed American diner located at downtown’s El Cortez, is slated to close its doors after nearly 11 years in April 2026. As reported by Vital Vegas, it will be succeeded by a “New York-style steakhouse.” The restaurant is named in homage to the year when Las Vegas’ oldest casino opened, although Bugsy Siegel and his associates didn’t acquire El Cortez until 1945-46.

The Malibu Barbie Café, a pop-up roller rink and restaurant themed around the iconic doll by Mattel, is set to launch at AREA15 starting December 18 for an undetermined period. This traveling experience will feature a menu curated by “Master Chef” finalist and “Chopped Champion” Becky Brown.

Picanha
(pronounced PEE-kahn-yah) is set to unveil its third Las Vegas outlet downtown at 124 Sixth St. next year. This Brazilian steakhouse, named after a popular cut of beef celebrated for its flavor and tenderness, already operates in southwest Las Vegas and at Allegiant Stadium.

A new venue named Wonder Fine Liquids is expected to open in the Arts District of Las Vegas next year, as reported by WhatNow Vegas. This project is led by James Manos, co-founder and owner of Las Vegas craft brewery Able Baker Brewing, which is also located in the Arts District.
