A fire in the early hours on Friday has affected the Halal Guys restaurant located in Las Vegas’ Chinatown. Witnesses reported seeing flames and heavy black smoke billowing from the restaurant’s roof at 5:50 a.m. on December 26, prompting a rapid response from around 80 firefighters, aided by the nearby Clark County fire station just half a block away.

The nearby Krung Siam Hai restaurant reportedly sustained damage as well.
As of now, fire officials have not disclosed the cause of the incident, but we will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
Due to the fire’s proximity to the roof and attic of the single-story strip mall, it’s anticipated that the Halal Guys will experience considerable smoke and water damage, even if the flames did not directly impact the dining area. Recovery, including inspections and cleanup, may extend over several months.
This franchise is part of the thriving Halal Guys brand, which began with a humble street cart in New York City back in 1990.
The plaza also hosts the Golden Tiki and previously witnessed an accidental fire in early November that significantly damaged the Gold Rush Smoke Shop.
