The Las Vegas Sphere maintains a well-known practice of refraining from disclosing which superstar performers are on its anticipated schedule. Thus, when a representative breaks this silence, one thing is for sure — aside from facing potential disciplinary action or termination…

They were being genuine.

Recently, the US Sun reported that the most significant performer in entertainment history is eyeing the Sphere for her 2027 tour.

The article referenced an “unnamed source” believed to be a fan speculating based on the title of the star’s newest album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”

Puck News secured the actual information by quoting a venue spokesperson stating: “While we admire and respect Taylor Swift, we are not currently in discussions with her team regarding a residency at Sphere.”

However, any savvy industry expert was already aware of this.

The Sphere hosts only 18,600 guests, which represents a mere fraction of Swift’s typical touring audience.

Certainly, the Sphere would eagerly welcome her performance. It would not only elevate its status in Vegas but also globally. In fact, there’s a high likelihood that an offer was made.

However, the Sphere does not aim to incur losses (well, not willingly). To ensure Swift receives the same promoter compensation as she does in stadium venues — along with covering the $10 million required for the Sphere’s video effects for a limited number of shows — ticket prices would likely start at around $1,000 for the least expensive seats.

And that’s before resellers inflate prices to 10 to 20 times greater once the initial tickets sell out.

This situation would make Sphere concerts exclusive to the wealthy elite, a demographic that Taylor Swift does not wish to cater to.

Backstreet Boys Celebrate Valentine’s Day!

In relation to the extraordinary venue, Backstreet Boys continue to expand their “Into The Millennium” residency for as long as demand remains high. They’ve entertained nearly 350,000 fans over 21 sold-out performances this summer thus far.

The latest extension includes seven additional shows, keeping the (former) boy band engaged past Valentine’s Day (Feb. 5, 6, 7, 11, 13, 14, and 15).

“We’re truly grateful for the love and support we’ve received these past weeks,” read a heartfelt message from the band. “To the fans who’ve supported us for 30 years — and the new fans just joining the fun — our deepest thanks.”

Tickets for the new dates will be available to the public starting at 11 a.m. PT on Friday, Aug. 22 via Ticketmaster. They will join previously announced performances on Aug. 22–24, plus Dec. 26–28, 30–31, and Jan. 2–3.

Blake Shelton is set to return to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for his “Live in Las Vegas” residency featuring eight performances (Jan. 15, 18, 21, 23, 24, 28, 30, and 31).

Following a successful six-show run in February that combined country music with Vegas charm, Shelton is prepared to up the ante.

“We had an incredible experience earlier this year,” the country artist expressed in a statement. “So I thought — why not do it again? This time we’re turning up the country vibes, mixing in some extra cocktails, and likely making a few decisions I’ll regret the next day. Let’s go, Vegas!”

Tickets will be available at 10 a.m. PT on Thursday, Aug. 28 via Ticketmaster. A fan presale is currently in progress.
