- Tool drummer Danny Carey confirms discussions for a 2027 residency at Sphere
- Cardi B attributed an onstage fall in Las Vegas to “the government”
- E-40, Too $hort, and Ying Yang Twins to headline a nostalgic summer pool concert
Tool drummer Danny Carey announced on the YouTube channel Spiral Out that his alternative metal group is “in talks” with executives at Las Vegas Sphere regarding a potential residency in 2027, asserting, “we’re the ideal band for it.”

The Sphere typically does not disclose future headline artists until contracts are finalized. Fortunately, the same cannot be said for the artists in consideration.
Carey stated that the extensive preparation needed to transform a Sphere residency concept into reality is substantial: “This project requires significant financial investment, and it takes a while to recoup those costs.”
“You need to perform several shows before you start generating profit,” he noted.
Formed in Los Angeles in 1990, Tool is acclaimed for tracks like “Sober” and “Schism.” The band’s latest album, “Fear Inoculum,” came out on August 30, 2019, and the group is presently recording their sixth album, aiming to align the residency with its release.
Cardi B’s Vegas Drama Goes Viral
Cardi B embraced her headlining tour title, “Little Miss Drama,” during a performance at T-Mobile Arena on Friday the 13th. While singing “Thotiania,” the rapper lost her footing and fell off a chair.
Initially met with gasps from the audience, cheers quickly followed as she adeptly recovered and danced from the floor alongside her shirtless male dancers.
After completing the song, Cardi cleverly joked about her ongoing public feud with the Department of Homeland Security, exclaiming, “That was the government!”
Watch the moment:
This incident marks Cardi B’s second viral moment in Vegas, following her notorious 2023 concert at Drai’s Beachclub, where she threw her wireless microphone at an audience member after tossing a drink in her direction.

Hip-Hop Nostalgia Returns
M Resort Spa Casino is set to unleash a wave of hip-hop nostalgia this summer in Las Vegas. On Saturday, June 13, 2026, the resort’s Concert Series will feature E-40, Too $hort, and the Ying Yang Twins performing at their pool.
The concert promises a night bursting with nostalgic hits ranging from Bay Area hyphy anthems like “Tell Me When To Go,” “Choices,” and “Blow the Whistle,” to crunk-era favorites like “Salt Shaker” and “Wait (The Whisper Song).”
Prepare for booming bass, singalongs, and the inevitable back injury as at least one attendee tries to replicate a dance move they haven’t executed since 2007.
Tickets start at $30, plus taxes and fees, and will be available for purchase starting at 10 a.m. on February 20 via ticketmaster.com — truly a bargain.
