Exciting developments are unfolding in the Las Vegas nightlife arena. The most significant change is the eviction of Drai’s Beachclub and Nightclub from its rooftop location at The Cromwell, where it has resided since 2014. The property is set to undergo a transformation into The Vanderpump Hotel, and Caesars Entertainment has alternative plans for this sought-after location.

Drai’s will officially close its rooftop location on October 31, but the nightclub will reopen on November 2 in the basement of the casino resort. This is where Victor Drai initially launched his nightclub in 2007, back when it was known as The Barbary Coast.
This represents a significant downsizing — transitioning from 65,000 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor space at the rooftop to a mere 13,000 square feet below ground. According to state filings reviewed by KLAS-TV/Las Vegas, this relocation will lead to job losses for 351 employees, including 236 at Drai’s Nightclub, 108 at Drai’s Beachclub, and seven at Drai’s Afterhours.

Drai’s has been a persistent source of negative national publicity for Caesars over the years.
It was the site of a tragic shooting in 2013, a massive fight following the Mayweather-McGregor boxing match in 2017, and a brutal assault involving New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara that resulted in severe injuries to his victim in 2022.
In 2021, it also became infamous for a widely publicized incident where rapper Cardi B threw her microphone at a member of the audience.
When the Cromwell reopens as The Vanderpump in the summer of 2026, the previous Drai’s Beachclub area will be transformed into a high-end pool akin to The Go Pool at The Flamingo, but details about what will take the place of the former nightclub remain unconfirmed.
Opening & Closing Updates
Following renovations, Clique Bar & Lounge at The Cosmopolitan, which closed on May 1, has welcomed patrons again thanks to a redesign by the design firm Petermax Co. (not affiliated with the famed pop artist).

The press release touts, “Opulent seating and private areas encourage small group gatherings, while an expansive layout facilitates socializing and dancing. Eye-catching artworks by Lisa Ledson decorate the space, complemented by an astonishing disco ball encircled by custom golden floral arrangements that enhance the ambiance, merging chic cocktail lounge vibes with an energetic social atmosphere.”
Wynn Las Vegas is preparing to close its renowned XS nightclub for a 90-day renovation starting next August, with plans to reopen just in time for the club’s 18th anniversary celebration on New Year’s Eve.
The Foundation Room located atop Mandalay Bay has already ceased operations for renovations, and as per Vital Vegas, it may remain closed for nearly a year, although their website states it is “temporarily closed.”
