Despite numerous Las Vegas media outlets echoing corporate promotional narratives, the city faced a stark reality with disappointing results in two recent elite culinary rankings.

Only two restaurants from Sin City managed to enter the top 100 of the annual LaListe ranking, which evaluates the best 1,000 dining establishments worldwide. LaListe, initiated in 2015, consolidates reviews from over 700 culinary experts across 195 nations.
Restaurant Guy Savoy situated in Caesars Palace, boasting two Michelin stars since 2008, secured the 67th position, while Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand, recognized with three Michelin stars, was ranked 85th. (Notably, LaListe awarded Robuchon’s original Paris venue the top spot globally for the ninth consecutive year.)
Things get even more disheartening…
Aside from the top performers, only two other Vegas venues made their way into the 900 lower-ranking spots: Le Cirque at Bellagio (position 412) and Wing Lei at Wynn Las Vegas (position 728).
Interestingly, three of the four establishments listed from Las Vegas serve French cuisine, despite LaListe being a French organization claiming to evaluate all culinary styles fairly.
No Las Vegas location appeared on the other prominent annual list, The World’s Best Steaks, despite the city’s reputation as a hub for some of the finest steaks globally.
This year, the London-based steak-ranking authority, known for its annual compilation of the top 101 steakhouses worldwide, introduced a “North America’s 50 Best” regional list, seemingly to provide US marketing teams with something to highlight.
However, its title can be deceiving. The list does not accurately represent the top 50 steakhouses in North America, evidenced by the fact that only 19 U.S. eateries made the roster this time (with no Canadian venues included).
This compilation merely highlights contenders for the worldwide list.
Among the North American steakhouses that didn’t qualify for the global rankings, Delmonico, the renowned eatery from Chef Emeril Lagasse at The Venetian Resort, was the only representative from Las Vegas.

This venue only managed to achieve a ranking of No. 37.
What an accolade.
Culinary Updates
Eggslut, the popular breakfast spot from Los Angeles known for its iconic dish, The Slut — a delicately coddled egg served over potato purée in a jar — is set to open its second Las Vegas location at the Rio on December 19. The original Vegas location debuted at the Cosmopolitan in June 2018.
Guerrilla Pizza recently launched on the ground floor of the Soho Lofts building downtown, marking its first permanent site for serving Detroit-style rectangular pizzas, a recipe introduced to Las Vegas by owner Robby Cunningham during his time at Hard Hat Lounge from 2019 to 2023.
