VEGAS SPORTS UPDATE: Raiders’ Brock Bowers Injured, A’s-Circa Deal

Las Vegas Raiders coach Klint Kubiak confirmed that the team will evaluate Brock Bowers ahead of the game against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium on September 20. Bowers, coming back from knee surgery, still has a chance to play.

However, the odds are slim. Bowers did not practice on September 16 and 17 after his knee procedure on September 8. He only returned to practice on September 18 in a limited capacity.

Bowers Still a Game-Time Question

During his media session, Kubiak emphasized that the NFL season consists of “17 desperate games in a row.”

He added, “We have this one game in front of our face, and we’re focused on that.”

Kubiak addressed the upcoming challenge against the Chargers, a team like the Cowboys and Broncos looking to avoid an 0-2 start after a tough Week 1 loss.

In a brief press conference, Kubiak dismissed the overconfidence narrative.

Jeanty Prepared for Action

He further emphasized the need for maturity among players, especially with Ashton Jeanty fully participating in practice after recovering from an ankle injury ahead of Week 1.

Jeanty’s impressive performance against the Dolphins showcased his readiness for the upcoming game.

Strong Offensive Line Performance

The Raiders’ offensive line showcased its restructuring success by not allowing any sacks in Week 1. Facing a tougher challenge against the Chargers’ formidable front, the team aims to replicate its earlier success.

With a strong defensive performance in Week 1, the Raiders are confident in their abilities against the Chargers, who struggled in their previous game.

Circa Secures A’s Deal

The Las Vegas Athletics announced a new partnership with Circa Resort & Casino and Circa Sports ahead of their move to a new stadium in the city. The multi-year agreement solidifies Circa’s role as a premier partner of the team.

Mark Badain, president of the Athletics, praised Circa’s support and expressed enthusiasm for the future of the partnership.

The Circa Dugout Box offers a premium experience connecting guests with the action on the field.

Golden Knights Begin Preseason

The Vegas Golden Knights kick off their NHL preseason against the Los Angeles Kings, focusing on developing young talent for the upcoming season.

The team’s roster changes and coaching transition will be closely watched as they aim for another successful campaign.
