A new immersive experience delving into a chilling chapter of American history is set to debut downtown this spring, highlighting Las Vegas’ growing fascination with “dark tourism.” “Serial Killer Speakeasy,” scheduled for a brief run on May 29 and 30, offers a unique twist on traditional theater by presenting a theatrical cocktail journey.

During this engaging encounter, attendees will “share a drink” with performers taking on the personas of some of history’s most notorious criminals, including Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer. The 90-minute show features four themed cocktails that echo the sinister stories being told.
This concept has elicited mixed reactions. Advocates believe the event taps into the vast public intrigue surrounding criminal psychology, a genre that reigns supreme on various podcast and streaming platforms. Detractors, however, contend that transforming real-life tragedies into entertainment may blur ethical boundaries.
Nevertheless, similar attractions already exist in Las Vegas. The downtown area hosts Zak Bagans’ The Haunted Museum, showcasing an extensive collection of “murderabilia,” which includes original artworks by John Wayne Gacy and the actual “death van” utilized by Dr. Jack Kevorkian.
Tickets for the Speakeasy start at $40, with “VIP” options available at higher prices. The event is restricted to guests aged 21 and over, and prior reservations are essential.
“Serial Killer Speakeasy” will be held at 814 S. Third St. on May 29 and 30, 2026. Tickets begin at $40 per attendee, and valid ID is required for entry. Click here to book your experience.
The Venetian Theatre’s Broadway Revival
Along the Strip, the Venetian Theatre — which once hosted the $75 million “Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular” for six years — is rekindling its Broadway spirit. The resort has announced two significant touring shows for 2026.
The first is the family-friendly “Mrs. Doubtfire,” set to run for 11 performances from July 22–26 and July 30–August 2. Inspired by the classic 1993 film featuring Robin Williams, this musical includes a score by Wayne and Karey Kirkpatrick and has enjoyed great success on its current national tour.
Later this year, the acclaimed nine-time Tony Award-winning show “The Book of Mormon” will take the stage for a 15-show engagement from November 4–15. Created by the “South Park” genius duo Trey Parker and Matt Stone, this irreverent satire, which previously ran at The Smith Center in 2014 and 2015, remains one of the highest-grossing Broadway productions ever.
Patrick Nichols, CEO and President of The Venetian, remarked that bringing in these productions aligns with the resort’s vision to diversify its entertainment offerings beyond traditional residencies and nightclubs. He describes the shows as “proven international hits” that enhance the venue’s reputation as a premier entertainment spot on the Strip.
“Golden Girls” Meets Elvis
“Golden Girls: The Laughs Continue” will grace the historic stage of the International Theater at the Westgate for two performances on Saturday, June 27, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
This new stage comedy brings Dorothy, Blanche, Rose, and Sophia together in a contemporary, fast-paced narrative delivered by a talented tribute cast. Special guest Cindy Fee, originator of the beloved “Thank You for Being a Friend,” will perform at both shows.
Tickets are priced between $25–$129. A pre-sale will be available from April 21–23, with general sales starting at 10 a.m. on April 24. The show is rated 18+ due to its adult humor. Click here for more information.
