Live! Casino Virginia has launched its hiring center, with the goal of recruiting over 500 workers for its upcoming temporary gaming venue, projected to open at the end of January.
The launch event featured a job fair that attracted a significant number of hopeful candidates, as reported by 12 On Your Side. Positions available include jobs in facility management, security, surveillance, finance, food and beverage, guest service, and environmental services. The facility also seeks to fill more than 100 dealer roles for table games.

“Currently, I’m seeking individuals with positive attitudes who embody hospitality traits; we will train them on the necessary technical skills,” stated Penny Parayo, senior vice president and general manager.
The temporary venue is a precursor to a multi-billion-dollar hotel and casino resort set for completion in 2027.

Petersburg’s Mayor, Sam Parham, highlighted the project’s role in job creation and local economic enhancement. He expressed, “My constituents are enthusiastic about employment, and I’m here to facilitate these job opportunities through large-scale economic development initiatives that will transform Petersburg for generations.”
The recruitment center is situated at 1501 W. Washington Street, within the former Pepsi Warehouse. Extended hours are available on Friday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center will operate regularly Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and welcomes walk-ins.
