Starting next week, VSiN will be in charge of Channel 158. The new channel, called The Sports Betting Network, will debut on Friday, January 17.

The Sports Betting Network will provide SiriusXM listeners with sports betting insights and analysis from industry experts around the clock. Listeners in North America can access VSiN’s dedicated channel on SiriusXM vehicle radios and the SiriusXM app.

Brian Musburger, VSiN co-founder, president, and chief business officer, stated, “We recognize the significance of the SiriusXM platform for sports fans and betting enthusiasts, and we are excited to offer the unique sports betting content this engaged audience desires – straight from Las Vegas. Distribution on SiriusXM is crucial for our growth strategy and reinforces VSiN’s status as the top sports betting network in the nation.”

VSiN is also collaborating with Mad Dog Sports Radio on Channel 82 for a nightly program airing from 7 pm to 10 pm on weekdays. “VSiN Live on Mad Dog Sports Radio,” hosted by Patrick Meagher and Dustin Swedelson, premieres on Monday, January 6.

VSiN Resurgence?

Established in February 2017 by Brent Musburger’s family, the founding of VSiN coincided with the repeal of a federal law restricting single-game sports betting to Nevada by the US Supreme Court a little over a year later.

Since the historic decision in May 2018, nearly 40 states and Washington, DC, have legalized sports betting, making VSiN a go-to source for sports wagering content.

DraftKings attempted to acquire VSiN for $70 million in March 2021, aiming to benefit from its positioning. However, in the following years, various competitors entered the sports betting content market.

DraftKings’ investment in VSiN did not yield positive results. Last July, the company sold VSiN back to Musburger Media for an undisclosed sum.

Stephanie Sherman, chief marketing officer at DraftKings, stated, “We continue to optimize our investments in content and media to align with our business strategy and goals. We appreciate the partnership with VSiN and look forward to continued advertising on the network.”

SiriusXM Audience

Having a SiriusXM channel enables VSiN to reach a new audience immediately. SiriusXM boasts 34 million subscribers.

Eric Spitz, vice president of sports programming for SiriusXM, commented, “The demand for sports betting content continues to rise, and VSiN is a leader in this field. We are delighted to offer our listeners access to VSiN shows and personalities 24/7 on their dedicated channel, as well as collaborate on a new exclusive show on ‘Mad Dog Sports Radio’ that will provide sports fans with intelligent and insightful content.”

VSiN previously broadcasted on SiriusXM from 2017 until the COVID-19 pandemic. The VSiN Newsroom Studio is situated within the Circa Resort & Casino sportsbook in downtown Las Vegas.
