The spouse of Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State football coach who was convicted in 2012 on 45 counts related to child molestation, is against the idea of a casino being established in State College, PA. She also holds the man behind the proposed “mini-casino” at the Nittany Mall partly responsible for her husband’s conviction and imprisonment.

Sandusky was an assistant football coach at Penn State under the renowned Joe Paterno for his entire career. In 2011, Sandusky was arrested on charges of child sexual abuse, which led to his dismissal from the team and subsequent imprisonment.

Paterno’s career ended in controversy following the Sandusky scandal, and he passed away shortly after. The case brought significant negative attention to Penn State University.

Despite her husband’s convictions, Dottie Sandusky has maintained her support for him. She claims ignorance of his actions and remains vocal against the establishment of a casino near Penn State University.

Wife Continues to Oppose Casino

Dottie Sandusky firmly believes in her husband’s innocence and holds the Penn State Board of Trustees and Ira Lubert, the developer planning the casino at Nittany Mall, responsible for his imprisonment. She has been vocal in her opposition to the casino project.

Despite opposition from the State College community, Mrs. Sandusky remains steadfast in her stance against the casino. Her public statements have reignited discussions about the Sandusky scandal and its impact on the university.
