- A woman was taken into custody for leaving her dog at Las Vegas airport.
- Authorities discovered the 2-year-old goldendoodle tied to a post after a paperwork dispute.
- The dog, now called JetBlue, has received countless adoption applications.
A woman was apprehended for purportedly abandoning her 2-year-old goldendoodle at Harry Reid International Airport on February 2, after she was informed that she did not have the necessary paperwork to fly with him.

JetBlue representatives stated they informed the woman, Germiran Bryson, that she needed to fill out specific forms for her dog to be recognized as a service animal. Upon failing to provide the necessary documents, she was denied boarding.

Instead of either leaving the airport with her dog or finding alternative care, she departed the scene.
Officers from the Las Vegas Police Department, who shared security footage of the incident on Facebook, arrived at approximately 11:40 p.m. Only to locate the dog tied to a metal post near the JetBlue boarding area. An officer found Bryson at her gate, where she reasoned her action by stating, “I was trying to rebook my flight.”
“So you left to re-book your flight?” the officer queried.
“Yes, that’s what they informed me at the counter,” she responded.
“So, you left your dog behind?” the officer further pressed.
According to police reports, Bryson mentioned that the dog had a microchip embedded, assuring that it would find its way back to her.

Initially, police offered to escort Bryson back to her dog and issue her a ticket. Yet, she reportedly became “hostile” when authorities attempted to detain her, resisting them as they guided her through a security checkpoint.
She was subsequently arrested and charged with three misdemeanors, including animal abandonment and resisting a public officer.
The dog — now affectionately named JetBlue — was taken into custody by Animal Control and sent to Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas, where he is awaiting adoption.
“We can’t believe we have to say this, but please do not abandon your dog at the airport — or anywhere else,” the police urged in their Facebook update.
If you’re interested in adopting JetBlue, you may face stiff competition. The organization reported an overwhelming number of inquiries and applications, emphasizing there are many other wonderful dogs looking for their forever homes as well.
