- Authorities in Rhode Island report a man was robbed at knifepoint in a Bally’s hotel room by three suspects.
- The victim, enticed by two teenagers on the casino floor, was led to the hotel room.
Rhode Island law enforcement indicates that a man was deceived to enter a hotel room at Bally’s casino, allegedly under the pretense of sexual favors, only to be threatened and robbed by a male accomplice.

Around 1:43 am on December 29, the Lincoln Police Department responded to a report from a man who said he had been robbed inside a hotel room. The victim disclosed that he was approached at the casino by two women identified as Naushka Machuca and Tashawana Tuckta-Warner, both 19, who enticed him into their hotel room.
Upon entering, the victim reported being threatened with a knife by a man later recognized as 28-year-old Dominyck Sims from Worcester, Massachusetts. He claims to have handed over approximately $1,500 in cash.
The group allegedly permitted the victim to exit but instructed him to refrain from contacting law enforcement.
Charges Against Robbery Suspects
According to the Lincoln Police Department, a swift investigation, aided by casino surveillance, resulted in the arrest of Machuca, Tuckta-Warner, and Sims.
Sims faces charges of first-degree robbery, conspiracy, employing weapons not classified as firearms, and disorderly conduct. A first-degree robbery charge in Rhode Island carries a minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, with potential life imprisonment.
Beyond the lengthy prison term, a conviction for first-degree robbery entails fines up to $15,000. The use of non-firearm weapons can result in a prison sentence of up to one year and a fine of up to $1,000.
Machuca and Tuckta-Warner have also been charged with first-degree robbery and conspiracy, with Machuca facing an additional conspiracy charge.
Local law enforcement urged the community to “stay alert and practice caution” while interacting with strangers.
Bally’s Lincoln, previously known as Twin River, encompasses a casino, hotel, and former racetrack, featuring over 3,800 slot machines, 110 live dealer table games, and a Bally’s Sportsbook. The hotel offers 136 rooms alongside amenities like a full-service Korean spa, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and meeting spaces.
Hotel Room Robberies
Robbers have historically targeted casino-goers, especially those on winning streaks or high rollers carrying large amounts of cash. Given that casino floors are monitored extensively by security, a common tactic used by criminals is to coax unsuspecting individuals into hotel rooms.
The rationale is that hotel rooms are perceived as private spaces, making robberies easier to execute. Many men may hesitate to report such incidents due to fears that their involvement in payment for sexual services could result in legal troubles or personal issues.
