It was reported that a tribal police officer attempted to remove the victim out of the vehicle but was unsuccessful. This resulted in the officer being dragged as the vehicle continued on pavement. The bystander then shot the victim who later died. The officer did not sustain serious injuries.

Investigators are now looking into the matter and may have a possible suspect in custody. Reports of the victim’s identity and the dead man’s suspected vehicle theft are currently under investigation.

Over the weekend, another incident was reported at the same casino complex. A person was reportedly stabbed and their condition is currently unknown.

The Osage Casino & Hotel in Bartlesville opened last Thursday, offering 521 slot machines, table games, a restaurant, 102-room hotel, and a large banquet area, replacing a previous casino opened in Bartlesville in 2006. The investigation continues as the casino remains open amidst increased police presence to ensure the safety of its guests.
