A woman in Toledo, Ohio was detained for allegedly leaving two children unattended in a parked vehicle at a gaming establishment on Sunday afternoon.
Security guards at Hollywood Casino Toledo noticed the children and alerted a Toledo police officer.
The car was parked on the third floor of the Hollywood Casino Toledo parking facility.
Shaneja Gamble, 22, from Toledo, was charged with child endangerment, as reported by Ohio TV station WTVG.
Gamble is set to appear in local court on Monday.
There were no apparent health issues for the children from being in the car. The outdoor temperature at the time was around 26 degrees.
It is unknown how long the children were left unaccompanied in the car.
Methamphetamine Arrest Near Casino
An individual was arrested on Saturday after being found in possession of suspected methamphetamine at a bus stop near California’s Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel.
The suspect, Walace Boyd, 65, from Fontana, Calif., was charged with possession of a controlled substance, according to a statement released by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
He was taken into custody at the Central Detention Center Jail. Bail was established at $30,000.
His case was handed over to local prosecutors. Upon conviction, he may face a significant penalty.
The amount of meth found in his possession and its street value were not disclosed by the deputies.
Boyd has previous convictions related to drug offenses, as mentioned in the statement.
The arresting deputy, part of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, apprehended Boyd during a routine patrol.
Minor Provided Alcohol in Casino Parking Lot
Robert James Malcomson, 25, from Farmington, New York, was arrested for allegedly giving alcohol to a teenage girl in a car on December 29 at the Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack.
The 17-year-old girl consumed the alcohol while in the casino’s parking lot with Malcomson, as reported by Fingerlakes1.com, a local news source.
He was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with improper behavior with a minor. Malcomson was booked at the Ontario County Jail.
The report did not specify the quantity of drinks consumed by the teenager or the type of alcohol involved.
Authorities are also investigating a domestic disturbance at the teenager’s home, during which Malcomson was present, according to the report.
