Name recognition alone cannot guarantee success for a restaurant in Las Vegas. It takes more than just a famous name to thrive in such a competitive market. To survive in the high-cost environment of the Strip, innovation, high quality, and a bit of luck are essential.

Below are some of the most significant celebrity restaurant failures in the history of Las Vegas.

Six years may seem like a decent lifespan for a Las Vegas restaurant, but it fell short of expectations for Fieri’s eateries. This particular venue was the only one of Fieri’s five establishments in Vegas that did not survive.

After Caesars Entertainment sold the operating rights of the Rio to Dreamscape Companies in 2019, El Burro Borraco did not reopen despite the ownership change. The reasons for its closure were not officially disclosed, but in Las Vegas, successful establishments rarely shut down.
