The casinos in Atlantic City are gearing up for what industry experts anticipate will be an extraordinary summer season. With over $200 million in renovations completed, a $40 million beach restoration finished, and the return of major events like concerts and airshows, the atmosphere is vibrant.
“Atlantic City casinos are eager to host both new and returning guests this summer, offering the finest dining, entertainment, and gaming experiences on the East Coast,” stated Mark Giannantonio, president of the Casino Association of New Jersey (CANJ). He continued, “Innovative attractions and distinctive experiences are crucial for drawing visitors to our amazing city, and that’s why our industry keeps reinvesting in our venues to offer world-class experiences.”
As per the LIGHT 2024 Impact report, Atlantic City casino operators committed more than $200 million last year toward enhancing dining, retail, and gaming environments. The sector has invested over $1 billion in revitalization endeavors in the last five years.
This industry plays a vital role in the local economy, providing jobs for 23,000 individuals, with over 80% living in Atlantic County. According to the New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism, the county ranks highest in tourism, boasting 10.91 million overnight stays and 13.1 million day visitors in 2024.
“Atlantic City is a legendary coastal destination, rich with diverse dining options, top-tier entertainment, and unique experiences,” remarked Gary Musich, president and CEO of Atlantic City. “If you’re aiming to create unforgettable memories this summer, Atlantic City is the place to be.”
The meetings and conventions sector is also witnessing robust growth. In Q1 2025, Atlantic City successfully hosted 12 events, securing 39,843 room nights and welcoming over 104,000 participants, which led to nearly $80 million in economic contributions.
Major events are anticipated to enhance summer foot traffic, including the Visit Atlantic City Soar & Shore Festival on July 15–16, which will showcase aerial shows and city-wide festivities.
Casino venues are introducing new attractions and facilities. Bally’s launched Park Place Prime, an upscale steakhouse; Borgata opened Noodles, a Pan-Asian option; and Caesars introduced The Hook, a rotating live performance venue. Hard Rock has revived its nightclub, The Balcony, while Golden Nugget has renovated guest rooms. Additionally, Ocean Casino Resort will unveil Ocean’s 18 Mini Golf & Bar this summer, and Resorts is revamping the Landshark Beach Bar.
This season’s entertainment line-up features headliners like Ashanti, Erykah Badu, Sam Hunt, Heart, Tina Fey & Amy Poehler, and Tom Segura.
