The highly anticipated 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) has officially commenced in Las Vegas, ushering in a vibrant seven-week celebration that features a historic 100 bracelet tournaments, drawing in thousands of participants from across the globe.

This year’s event will be hosted at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, continuing the tradition for the fourth year running in this iconic location on the Strip. Organizers promise an exhilarating blend of high-stakes competition and various entry-level opportunities to cater to both seasoned pros and enthusiastic amateurs alike.

Kicking off the series is the $1,000 Mystery Millions event, which is set to deliver two guaranteed $1 million prizes—one for the tournament champion and another through a random bounty selection.

High-profile contests during the opening week include the $25,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold’em Championship, the $10,000 Mystery Bounty No-Limit Hold’em, and the $25,000 High Roller PLO/NLH Mix.

The feature Main Event is scheduled to begin on July 2, with four Day 1 flights planned and the final table to be contested over two days, July 15 and 16. Last year’s Main Event surpassed records with an astounding 10,112 entries and a prize pool totaling $94 million after fees.

This year’s WSOP marks the first under new ownership, as NSUS Group Inc., the parent company of GGPoker, acquired the WSOP brand from Caesars Entertainment in a significant $500 million transaction. Under the agreement, Caesars will continue to host the event at its Las Vegas properties for the next two decades.

The WSOP continues to be a major attraction for both experienced professionals and dedicated amateurs, offering an array of events with varying buy-ins and formats.
