Circa Sports to launch Kentucky’s biggest sportsbook at The Mint Kentucky Downs.

Circa Sports is set to launch the largest retail sportsbook in Kentucky at The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs in Franklin, enhancing the in-person betting experience for southern Kentucky and the bordering Tennessee markets.

The sportsbook is expected to commence operations this summer. Spanning over 5,100 square feet, the venue will feature an impressive 80-foot-wide LED screen and a 31-foot-wide odds board.

Aimed at individuals aged 21 and above, this location signifies Circa Sports’ expanding footprint in the U.S. sports betting space, which also encompasses facilities in Nevada, Illinois, Iowa, and Colorado.

The Kentucky establishment will offer a variety of seating arrangements, including 113 stadium-style seats, luxury recliners, and three tiers of booth seating.

Bettors will have access to five staffed betting counters—one of which is ADA-accessible—and four self-service kiosks within the sportsbook, in addition to three more throughout The Mint Gaming Hall.

Circa Sports CEO Derek Stevens mentioned that the venue will cater to customers from both Kentucky and Tennessee, especially those from nearby Nashville.

In collaboration with The Mint, we’re establishing a cutting-edge betting venue that will offer an unparalleled live-viewing experience for customers in both states. The Mint has been a fantastic partner in making this vision a reality, and we look forward to welcoming guests later this year,” said Stevens.

Beyond live wagering, the sportsbook will also include a VSiN (Vegas Stats & Information Network) broadcast studio, aimed at producing daily content, including live coverage and analysis tailored for sports betting audiences.

Johan Mirkovic, Vice President and General Manager of The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs, stated that the Circa Sportsbook represents an essential part of the gaming hall’s ongoing efforts to broaden its range of entertainment and gambling options. He emphasized that the venue’s proximity to the Kentucky-Tennessee border positions it as an attractive destination for sports fans from both states.

“This area, which stretches along the Kentucky-Tennessee border, is a genuine paradise for sports aficionados,” Mirkovic noted. “The impending Circa Sportsbook will enhance the experience, providing the premier venue in the area for enjoying your favorite sporting events—irrespective of your location.”
