PENN Entertainment set to launch new $206 million hotel tower at M Resort Las Vegas on December 1

PENN Entertainment has revealed plans to open the second hotel tower at M Resort Spa Casino Las Vegas (M Resort) to the public on Monday, December 1, pending standard regulatory approvals. This remarkable $206 million development is expected to launch months earlier than the initial construction schedule. Additionally, PENN is collaborating with The Emeril Group to introduce Meril, a beloved restaurant from New Orleans, to the M Resort.

We are excited to announce the opening of our latest project in Henderson, following the recent grand launch of the Hollywood Casino Joliet in Illinois,” stated Jay Snowden, CEO and President of PENN Entertainment.

This new tower and the partnership with The Emeril Group enhances our industry-leading amenities at M Resort and caters to the growing demand from both group events and local patrons in Henderson.”

The upcoming hotel tower will nearly double the capacity at the Company’s location south of the Las Vegas Strip, increasing total room availability to 765 rooms and suites. Furthermore, the new 15,000 square foot Montese Ballroom is set to debut on October 1, 2025, enhancing the meeting space. PENN anticipates that this expansion will create 120 new job opportunities at M Resort.

Founded by Chef Emeril Lagasse, The Emeril Group is eager to welcome guests to Meril in Henderson. This marks the second outlet of the concept named after Lagasse’s daughter, Meril. The Contemporary American restaurant has garnered a loyal customer base for its inviting atmosphere and varied menu, drawing inspiration from Lagasse’s vast culinary journey and international experiences.

We look forward to welcoming a greater influx of visitors to our leading resort,” remarked Todd George, Executive Vice President, Operations for PENN. “With our expanded suite of amenities and our flourishing partnership with the Las Vegas Raiders, M Resort is poised to be the top choice for visitors and convention guests nationwide.”

The new hotel tower at M Resort marks the second of PENN’s planned growth initiatives, which also include new land-based casinos in Joliet (opened on August 11th) and Aurora, Illinois, along with a new hotel in Columbus, Ohio. For the M Resort expansion, PENN plans to utilize $150 million in funding from Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. at a capitalization rate of 7.79%.
