The iGaming and sports betting leader, BetMGM, has stepped in as the primary sponsor for Playmaker HQ’s “Roommates Show”, featuring New York Knicks stars Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart.
This collaboration also introduces a fresh series, “No Limit,” with former NBA player Iman Shumpert, under Playmaker HQ’s casino content brand, All In, with BetMGM also as the main sponsor.
“Roommates Show” is a weekly video podcast hosted by Brunson, Hart, and their former college roommate Matt Hillman. The latest season commenced on September 6 and launched with the Roommates Show Block Party in Central Park, attracting thousands of fans and celebrities, including Ben Stiller and Eli Manning. BetMGM branding will be integrated throughout the season with targeted advertisements and promotional content.
“No Limit” comprises 12 episodes filmed at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.
In the Double Down segment, guests pause their blackjack hands to reflect on previous statements, interviews, or “hot takes,” deciding whether to double down or retract their words. The Aces Only segment, activated when a BetMGM-branded ace is played, spotlights career milestones, legendary plays, and notable collaborations.
“Our shows have consistently thrived thanks to dynamic athletes who infuse authenticity and energy into each episode,” stated Matt Schwimmer, CEO of Playmaker HQ. “’No Limit’ represents a significant evolution for us as we delve into casino content with the All In brand. It weaves together entertainment, personality, and unfiltered discussions that deeply resonate with fans.”
“This partnership with Playmaker HQ underscores BetMGM’s commitment to talent-driven media. The ‘Roommates Show’ artfully blends sports, entertainment, and culture, forming authentic connections with a diverse audience of sports enthusiasts,” remarked Casey Hurbis, Chief Marketing Officer of BetMGM. “Blackjack remains a timeless favorite among players, and ‘No Limit’ brings athletes to the forefront with engaging storytelling.”
Iman Shumpert, an NBA veteran with a decade of experience and a 2015 NBA champion with the Cleveland Cavaliers, also achieved victory in Season 30 of “Dancing with the Stars” in 2021, making history as the first NBA player to seize this title.
