Tejon Hard Rock Casino in California scheduled to open on November 13

Hard Rock International alongside the Tejon Indian Tribe is set to unveil the Hard Rock Casino Tejon on November 13, 2025.

Situated less than 15 miles to the south of Bakersfield on tribal lands, this initiative signifies a remarkable milestone for Kern County and the Tejon Indian Tribe. This project will be tribe-owned and managed by Hard Rock International, funded entirely through private investments.

Located at the base of the Grapevine Pass, on the southern edge of the San Joaquin Valley, this casino will cater to both Southern California and Central Valley clientele. Notably, it will be the second-nearest full-scale casino resort to Los Angeles.

According to project partners, this development has already generated thousands of construction jobs and will offer 1,000 permanent employment positions once it opens. In addition, Hard Rock Casino Tejon is committed to making infrastructure enhancements in the surrounding region at no expense to taxpayers and investing in long-term education, community services, and economic growth for the tribe.

“The launch of Hard Rock Casino Tejon not only honors our tribe’s heritage and strength but also represents a significant leap toward fostering opportunity and prosperity for generations to come,” expressed Octavio Escobedo III, Chairman of the Tejon Tribe. “This initiative will generate thousands of jobs, stimulate economic development, and serve as a venue where culture, entertainment, and community intertwine.”

Jim Allen, Chairman of Hard Rock International and CEO of Seminole Gaming, heralded the project as a transformative chapter for the brand in California. “Hard Rock Casino Tejon is poised to redefine entertainment standards in the region, merging our premier hospitality with the tribe’s inspiring aspirations for cultural and economic advancement,” he stated.

Once completed, the casino will boast a vast 150,000-square-foot gaming floor, featuring over 2,000 slot machines, 50 live table games, and exclusive VIP areas for blackjack and baccarat. Guests can also admire Hard Rock’s renowned collection of music memorabilia.

Diverse dining options will include the Hard Rock Cafe, Deep Cut Steaks | Seafood, YOUYU Asian cuisine, and a Marketplace Food Hall offering a combination of global and local culinary delights. A Rock Shop will also provide unique Hard Rock merchandise.

Visitors can participate in Unity by Hard Rock, the brand’s global loyalty initiative, allowing members to earn rewards and VIP benefits across participating Hard Rock locations around the world.

The Hard Rock Casino Tejon will merge the vibrancy, flavor, and excitement our brand is celebrated for with a distinct local essence that embodies the strength and heritage of the Tejon Indian Tribe,” added Chris Kelley, President of Hard Rock Casino Tejon. “We are eager to craft unforgettable experiences for every guest who steps through our doors.”
