Tragically, Anunay Sood, a well-known travel influencer residing in Dubai, has passed away while on assignment in Las Vegas, as confirmed by his family on Thursday.

As reported by Arab News, the 32-year-old content creator was participating in an all-expense-paid trip and was expected to return home the following Tuesday.

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Anunay Sood,” his family shared on his Instagram account. “We kindly ask for your consideration and privacy during this challenging time, and request that you refrain from gathering near our home. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. May his soul find peace.”

Known for his captivating travel photography and videography, Sood had garnered 1.4 million followers on Instagram and 387,000 on YouTube.

For three consecutive years from 2022 to 2024, he was recognized in Forbes India’s “Top 100 Digital Stars.”

Originally hailing from India, Sood established his career there before moving to Dubai in the early 2020s to broaden his business and create a digital marketing agency.

He traveled to over 40 countries and collaborated with major tourism boards worldwide, including Switzerland Tourism, Visit Saudi, and the New Zealand Tourism Board, as well as brands like OPPO and Airtel.

“I still can’t comprehend this,” commented fellow travel influencer Aakash Malhotra. “You embraced life with so much passion, heart, and adventure, my brother. Rest in peace, Anunay. Your absence will be felt deeply.”

Sood’s last Instagram update was posted on Tuesday from Wynn Las Vegas, where he attended the annual Las Vegas Concours d’Elegance, a premier luxury car exhibition.

“It’s hard to believe I spent the weekend amidst legends and incredible machines,” he wrote.
