BetMGM has finalized a trio of betting partnerships with Pittsburgh’s professional sports teams, marking its latest agreement with the NHL’s Penguins.
With this multiyear agreement, BetMGM is now the official sports betting and online casino partner of the Penguins. The sportsbook operator already collaborates with Major League Baseball’s Pittsburgh Pirates and the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers.
Although DraftKings and FanDuel lead in sportsbook partnerships with professional sports teams, BetMGM has successfully carved out a significant presence in the market.
BetMGM serves as the official sportsbook partner for various NFL teams, including the Raiders, Cardinals, Lions, Titans, Ravens, Jets, Broncos, Eagles, and Chiefs, in addition to the Steelers. They also hold partnerships with MLB teams like the Nationals, Astros, Phillies, Red Sox, Tigers, and Pirates.
On the NHL front, they have established official sports betting partnerships with the Golden Knights, Red Wings, Rangers, Predators, and now the Penguins. In the NBA, BetMGM is recognized as the official sports betting partner of the Knicks, 76ers, and Pistons, and in the WNBA, they partner with the Las Vegas Aces.
Multiyear Collaboration
“Pittsburgh is home to renowned sports franchises,” stated BetMGM Chief Marketing Officer Casey Hurbis. “This latest partnership with the Penguins enhances our strong connections within the city and creates fresh opportunities for fan engagement through memorable experiences at PPG Paints Arena and beyond.”
Such agreements allow sportsbooks to leverage the trust fans have in these franchises, creating positive associations with the sportsbook brand.
In-arena advertising opportunities are abundant, including options for an in-stadium sportsbook lounge for live betting, providing visibility for the sportsbook. They also gain online exposure through the team’s digital platforms, and sometimes, access to fan data.
Through the BetMGM-Penguins collaboration, BetMGM will receive signage and branding within PPG Paints Arena, co-branded content for social media, exclusive promotional offers, and premium hospitality options to enhance VIP fan experiences. The arena features a dedicated lounge known as the Lexus Club.
Historic Franchise

The Penguins have a storied history in the NHL, having played since 1967 and led by one of the sport’s greats, Sidney Crosby. The team has achieved five Stanley Cup victories throughout its history.
BetMGM currently gives the Penguins a Stanley Cup odds of +15000 for this season.
