The World Series of Poker has removed all segments of the poker documentary series “No Limit” from its YouTube channel following revelations from its creator/producer regarding the use of AI-generated deepfake audio, which misrepresented statements by a player.
Dustin Iannotti aimed to “narrate poker tales in alignment with the stakes,” but his portrayal failed to accurately represent at least one player’s actual comments.
In a now-deleted post on X, Iannotti acknowledged using deepfake technology to edit two brief segments for improved transitions and pacing. This admission followed a public critique from high-stakes poker player Alan Keating, who accused him of “fabricating statements.”

Iannotti disclosed that AI was employed for two short sequences during editing, but he recognized he should have consulted Keating regarding these decisions. Notably, he did not extend an apology.
“This doesn’t merit a response, and you understand why,” Keating retorted.
Among the misattributed quotes to Keating was: “I don’t even enjoy tournaments. I prefer challenging players and testing their resolve. Then I dominate them.”
In a statement to PokerNews, Iannotti insisted these were the only instances of augmented media in the docuseries. However, fellow player Alex Keating, who shares a name but is not related, disagreed with this assertion.
“They’ve evidently inserted synthetic audio for me, altering the context,” Keating stated on X. “I never consented to this.”
He added that he and his peers willingly dedicated time to “assist in promoting the show and the game.”
“All we desire in return is respect. Please don’t distort our words for the sake of storytelling,” he emphasized.
Docuseries Reediting Announced
The WSOP confirmed that the docuseries will undergo reediting and be made available at a later date.
“We have recently discovered that AI-generated content was utilized in ‘No Limit’ to alter players’ statements without their approval. We have removed the existing videos and will carefully edit the series to maintain our standards. We sincerely apologize to all affected and appreciate your support,” the statement concluded.
