Global Gaming Women (GGW), a non-profit committed to empowering women within the gaming sector, has appointed Siobhan Lane as the new President and Chair of the Board.
Lane is currently the Group Chief Executive Officer of Gaming at Light & Wonder, Inc. This follows her previous role as GGW’s 1st Vice President. She takes over from Lauren Bates, who has served a two-year presidential term. GGW has confirmed that these leadership changes will commence on January 1, 2026, and will continue until 2028.
Brandi Ellis, a veteran executive in the gaming industry, has been elevated to 1st Vice President of GGW, a position previously occupied by Lane. Adriana Kasunic, who is the Vice President of People Operations at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, has been appointed as GGW’s 2nd Vice President, moving from the role of Board Secretary.
Reflecting on Lane’s appointment, outgoing President Lauren Bates remarked: “Siobhan’s unwavering commitment to education has notably enhanced GGW’s resources and reach, and I am confident that this will persist under her leadership as president.” Bates is currently Vice President of Sales at Light & Wonder.
Lane steps into her new role at the conclusion of Bates’ tenure, during which GGW has seen significant growth in both membership and educational initiatives.
Bates expressed: “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to GGW’s remarkable members, sponsors, board members, and volunteers for your unwavering support throughout my presidency, during which we welcomed over 3,000 new members, launched 10 innovative programs, and hosted 17 live educational events in two new countries.”
In her response to assuming her new position, Lane emphasized the importance of continuity in GGW’s mission and recognized her predecessor’s efforts. “The mission of GGW, which is to nurture, empower, and positively impact the progress of women in the gaming industry, stems from the dedication of its founders. I am thrilled to champion this mission as President and Chair of the Board of Directors,” she stated.
“I am deeply grateful to our past President, Lauren Bates, for elevating GGW and laying the groundwork for its continued success,” she added.
Alongside the vice presidential appointments, GGW has also designated Julie Woodruff, the Vice President of Finance at Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee, as the new Board Secretary. Woodruff replaces Kasunic, who has transitioned to the role of 2nd Vice President.
