Las Vegas is gearing up for one of its most extravagant New Year’s Eve events ever, featuring its iconic complimentary rooftop fireworks alongside an innovative aerial drone light show.

The midnight fireworks display — an eight-minute show by Grucci known as “America’s Party” — will be launched from the rooftops of notable venues including Aria, Caesars Palace, Fontainebleau, MGM Grand, Planet Hollywood, Resorts World, the Strat, Venetian, Treasure Island, and the Palms.

This marks the first participation of the Palms, making it the inaugural non-Strip resort to join the celebration. (The Palms takes the place of the Mirage, which closed in July 2024.)

In a first-ever addition, a coordinated fleet of 600 drones will join the traditional midnight display, launching from the Las Vegas Event Plaza adjacent to Wynn Las Vegas. The drones will synchronize with a countdown displayed on the Sphere’s exterior before taking flight in a choreographed light sequence culminating in a grand finale to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

The fireworks show will be accompanied by a rock-themed soundtrack broadcast via two local radio stations: KOMP 92.3 FM and KXPT 97.1 FM.

As is customary, the Strip will be transformed into a pedestrian-only area. Vehicle traffic will be closed between Tropicana Avenue and Spring Mountain Road starting early in the evening, with access restricted until the crowds have cleared. To accommodate the surge of visitors, the Las Vegas Monorail will extend its hours, running continuously from 7 a.m. on December 31 to 2 a.m. on January 2.
