The former Ballon D’Or recipient will serve as the exclusive Affiliate Ambassador for the UK & Ireland for 2026, as Casino.org aims to enhance its reach in these markets.

The collaboration will enable Owen to contribute across the brand’s digital platforms in Ireland and the UK, sharing his soccer knowledge, insights into betting trends, and advice on safer gambling practices.

Exceptional Striker

Owen made his mark by outpacing defenders with his swift movements. Known for his remarkable speed, intelligent off-the-ball positioning, and precise finishing, he burst onto the scene as a teenager, becoming Liverpool’s youngest goal scorer at the age of 17 years and 143 days.

A year later, he made waves globally by scoring that unforgettable goal for England against Argentina during the 1998 World Cup in France.

Receiving the ball just inside Argentina’s half, the 18-year-old pushed forward swiftly, evading the frantic defense before executing a pinpoint shot into Carlos Roa’s net.

After six successful seasons as Liverpool’s top scorer, Owen transferred to Real Madrid — part of the legendary Los Galácticos — and subsequently played for Newcastle United, Manchester United, and, after battling injuries, Stoke City.

Owen won the Ballon D’Or in 2001, the most recent English player to achieve this honor, and was later recognized by Pelé as one of the 100 greatest living football players.

Perfect Partnership

Now thriving as a football analyst on television and a racehorse owner, Owen has openly shared his passion for responsible betting through reliable and regulated avenues — a mission that Casino.org embodies.

With gambling continuing to expand in the UK, it was crucial for me to partner with a brand that emphasizes player safety. Casino.org’s reputation for skill and integrity resonates with my own values, and I’m thrilled to be part of it,” he remarked.

For someone whose career has hinged on timing and intuition, Owen’s appointment as a Casino.org brand ambassador appears less as a risk and more like a certain goal from just a few yards away.
