In a significant advancement for prediction markets, Polymarket has announced a partnership with Madison Square Garden Sports Corp, officially designating them as the Official Prediction Market Partner of the NHL’s New York Rangers.

Fans attending games at Madison Square Garden can expect to see Polymarket prominently displayed throughout the venue—ranging from LED displays to on-ice activities, interactive engagements on the concourse, and digitally augmented dasherboard signage during both local and national broadcasts of Rangers games.
“The Rangers boast one of the most passionate fanbases in sports, and this partnership adds an exciting interactive element to their game day experience,” stated Shayne Coplan, Founder and CEO of Polymarket.
Polymarket’s Prominent Involvement
“Prediction markets provide fans with a real-time, engaging method to connect with the game, making the Rangers an ideal franchise to broaden this experience for many,” added Coplan.
As an Original Six NHL franchise, the Rangers hold a storied history. Although the current season has been challenging with a 20-20 record—placing them 14th in the Eastern Conference and far from playoff contention—the franchise’s legacy and the fervor of its supporters remain unmatched.
NHL Partnership Announced Last Fall
“This new and innovative partnership represents a significant milestone for the Rangers, with Polymarket perfectly positioned as a trusted and pioneering player in the prediction market space,” remarked Jamaal Lesane, Chief Operating Officer of MSG Sports.
“Polymarket will not just be an Official Partner of the Rangers; they will actively engage across digital platforms, fan experiences, and promotions during Rangers games.”
A Legacy Franchise
In October, the NHL established a groundbreaking multiyear agreement with Polymarket and Kalshi, designating both as Official Prediction Market Partners of the NHL. Additionally, last November, Polymarket was named the Official and Exclusive Prediction Market Partner of UFC and Zuffa Boxing.
Kalshi also has a comparable agreement with the Chicago Blackhawks.
Moreover, Polymarket will make a significant impact during Rangers games showcased on MSG Networks as the Presenting Partner for “In-Game Polls.”
