DAZN Bet is set to make its debut in Ontario, following the announcement that the renowned global sports streaming and entertainment company has obtained an iGaming license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. The DAZN Bet online sports wagering and gaming platform is preparing to enter a competitive iGaming environment in Ontario.

DAZN Bet’s Ontario launch will be augmented by a partnership with Pragmatic Group, which will facilitate the integration of sports betting into DAZN Group’s live sports streaming services.

As per reports from Covers, DAZN Bet must finalize its operating agreement with iGaming Ontario before announcing a launch date to the public.

48 iGaming Operators Licensed

iGaming Ontario currently lists 48 licensed operators in the area, along with 82 sports betting and online casino sites. This count excludes the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation’s Proline platform.

DAZN Bet was established in collaboration with Pragmatic Group, a provider of technology and content for the betting and gaming sector, back in April 2022. This initiative aims to leverage the existing DAZN customer base and emphasizes in-play betting, with its headquarters situated in Gibraltar.

Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group, has previously expressed that the convergence of sports media and betting represents the future.

Live Coverage of NFL and Soccer

DAZN Canada, which launched in 2017, provides both live and on-demand access to significant events. It serves as the exclusive broadcaster for NFL Game Pass in Canada, enabling fans to watch every pre-season, regular season, playoff, and Super Bowl game live, including access to NFL RedZone and NFL Network, without blackouts.

Soccer enthusiasts are also catered to, as DAZN holds exclusive broadcasting rights to UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, Bundesliga, Serie A matches, and World Cup qualifiers.
