As announced on Wednesday, the first Mike Tyson Invitational will be held from March 12 to March 14 at the Radiant Brand Complex in Las Vegas. This event aims to gather top amateur fighters, Olympic contenders, trainers, sponsors, and media to help revive the United States’ amateur boxing system.
“I am truly committed to revitalizing amateur boxing in the U.S.,” Tyson stated. “Amateur boxing is more than just a stepping stone to the professional ranks – it’s a foundation for building discipline, character, and shaping the best version of oneself. This sport has given me so much, and I feel it’s vital to ensure amateur boxing continues to be acknowledged and preserved as a valuable part of our national heritage.”
The invitational is a selective, invitation-only gathering that offers amateur fighters an opportunity for professional-like exposure. Champions will be awarded belts, and one exceptional fighter will receive the Fighter of the Night title.
The program kicks off on Thursday, March 12, with an exclusive discussion featuring Tyson, who will share insights on discipline, mindset, and lessons from his storied career.
