- Luxury terminal planned for opening next year
- Designed with high rollers in mind, offering premium amenities
- Ras Al Khaimah International Airport experiences record traffic growth
Affluent guests arriving at Wynn Al Marjan Island when it opens next year will experience a lavish journey right from the airport, thanks to the upcoming “VVIP” terminal at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.

This new terminal is anticipated to launch next year, likely coinciding with the debut of Wynn’s $5.1 billion casino resort in the first quarter. The high-end terminal is being constructed in collaboration with Falcon Executive Aviation.
“The terminal will feature a royal lounge, four VVIP lounges, premium hospitality areas, and a setting designed specifically for discreet, high-profile travelers,” stated airport CEO Manish Seth to Arabian Gulf Business Insight (AGBI).
Revealed at the recent Dubai Airshow, the plans for the VVIP terminal aim to elevate Ras Al Khaimah International Airport’s status as a premium destination for travelers arriving by private jets, catering perfectly to the clientele targeted by Wynn. The terminal’s proximity—just a 15-minute drive—from Wynn Al Marjan Island adds to its appeal.
Significance of the ‘VVIP’ Terminal for Wynn Casino
The Wynn integrated resort in the UAE is strategically positioned within an eight-hour flight for a large portion of the world’s population, highlighting its potential to significantly boost tourism in the thriving emirate.
Wynn Al Marjan Island is expected to attract around 3.5 million visitors yearly to Ras Al Khaimah, the emirate housing the casino hotel. The gaming company aims to welcome at least one million guests annually, anticipating that many will return. Additional luxuries like the VVIP terminal could help in achieving these figures.
The establishment of this terminal can also elevate Ras Al Khaimah’s status as an attractive international tourist hub—similar to Dubai, but with the unique advantage of hosting the Middle East’s first regulated gaming venue. Although the UAE is likely to approve more casinos in the future, Wynn Al Marjan is set to be the only gaming operation for several years.
Wynn is funding 40% of the project independently, partnering locally with Marjan LLC and RAK Hospitality Holding LLC.
Ras Al Khaimah Airport Traffic on the Rise
With the exclusive terminal targeting affluent visitors, Ras Al Khaimah International Airport is poised for growth, as it’s already witnessing an increase in traffic. Last year, the airport welcomed over one million passengers for the first time, representing a 51% increase from 2024.
Seth mentioned to AGBI that the aim is to achieve a 50% increase in passenger numbers by 2027, a realistic target considering the Wynn casino hotel will be operational for most of that year. Notably, many visitors stayed overnight last year, indicating promising prospects for the Wynn venue right from the start.
A new, larger terminal is also being constructed to accommodate up to 4.5 million annual arrivals.
