Martha Stewart is preparing to unveil her inaugural restaurant on the East Coast. It will launch at Foxwoods Resort Casino, a premier destination owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation located in Connecticut.
Following the success of The Bedford by Martha Stewart at Caesars Entertainment’s Paris in Las Vegas, which opened in August 2022, the culinary icon is bringing her vision to Foxwoods. The restaurant will officially open its doors to guests on Saturday, March 14, with bookings now available.
The Bedford draws inspiration from Stewart’s rustic 1925 country farmhouse located in New York, featuring her renowned recipes along with her passion for hosting and design.
“This marks Martha Stewart’s second restaurant and her first venture on the East Coast, infusing her renowned aesthetic and hospitality into Foxwoods. Situated in the Grand Pequot Tower, The Bedford by Martha Stewart is more than just a dining space — it’s an embodiment of Martha’s lifestyle,” stated a release from Foxwoods.
Signature offerings include the classic niçoise salad, handmade pierogies, and Kurobuta pork chops. The restaurant will welcome diners every day of the week, with breakfast and lunch offered from Friday to Sunday.
Foxwoods Development
The launch of The Bedford by Martha Stewart coincides with Foxwoods Resort Casino’s $385 million expansion, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the tribal gaming complex. The expansion, announced in 2022, allocated $85 million towards a new 50,000-square-foot casino named Pequot Woodlands, along with a celebrity dining venue.
The Bedford occupies approximately 13,000 square feet. All reservations for the March 14 grand opening have already been claimed, with the only available slots for that Sunday beginning at 9 PM. Meanwhile, more preferable dining times ranging from 5 PM to 7:15 PM are still open for Monday, March 16.
The majority of the 30th-anniversary investment focused on the construction of the adjacent Great Wolf Lodge, which opened last May with a price tag of $300 million.
This 549-room lodge features an indoor water park, an adventure park, eight dining options, and 7,000 square feet of meeting facilities.
