  • Poker icon Phil Hellmuth has acquired the former penthouse condo of the late Elaine Wynn at Park Towers, a prestigious high-rise long associated with Las Vegas elites
  • Her husband, Steve Wynn, was a previous owner of a unit in the same building, as was MGM Mirage’s former CEO Terry Lanni
  • Hellmuth’s $2.8 million investment signifies his complete move to Las Vegas

Renowned poker player Phil Hellmuth has secured a stunning Las Vegas condo, previously owned by Elaine Wynn, for $2.8 million. This expansive two-story penthouse is situated in Park Towers, a luxurious dual-tower complex at 1 Hughes Center Drive, developed in 2000 by Mirage Resorts and Irwin Molasky.

This luxurious building has a history of being home to Las Vegas power players, including Steve Wynn, who occupied a condo during his time at Wynn Resorts, and Terry Lanni, the former CEO of MGM Mirage.

Hellmuth’s new residence encompasses 4,903 square feet, offering four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The condo was on the market for 173 days before finalizing a sale price that was 5.1% lower than its original asking price of $2.95 million. Park Towers is celebrated for its exclusivity, featuring concierge services, private elevators, a screening room, and wine cellars.

This prestigious building attracts gaming executives and wealthy residents due to its exceptional security measures — a concern for Elaine Wynn, whose youngest daughter was kidnapped in 1993 by impersonators posing as delivery personnel. Kevyn Wynn, then 26, was released unharmed after her father paid a ransom of $1.45 million. The kidnappers were subsequently arrested, and much of the ransom was recovered.

Park Towers is ideally located just east of the Strip, near the intersections of Paradise Road and East Flamingo Road, adjacent to the Hughes Center office complex.

This acquisition marks the second sale of Elaine Wynn’s Park Towers condos following her passing in April 2025 at the age of 82. The first unit, a larger and more customized residence, sold for $8.25 million in August 2025. Elaine Wynn was not only a significant figure in Nevada gaming but also a highly regarded philanthropist, especially in the fields of education and the arts.

Elaine Wynn was a strong advocate for the new Las Vegas Museum of Art, set to debut downtown next year, dedicating significant time and resources throughout her life to support this vision.

Phil Hellmuth, with 17 World Series of Poker bracelets to his name, confirmed to the Las Vegas Review-Journal that he and his wife made their official move to Las Vegas in December.

“Las Vegas has treated me exceptionally well, and I truly enjoy living here,” he told the publication, adding that the relocation puts him in closer proximity to the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and the burgeoning high-stakes poker environment of the city.

Hellmuth was represented in this deal by Karina Jett of Keller Williams VIP, a well-respected poker player with numerous WSOP cash finishes, representing an interesting alignment of poker professionals on both sides of this transaction.
