  • MGM Resorts has implemented a comprehensive trespassing ban against Bobby Khan, a U.S. congressional candidate from Nevada.
  • Khan’s campaign asserts that this blacklist is a response to his social media posts alleging price manipulation.
  • The candidate, a convicted felon, previously spent six years being hunted by the FBI.

A former fugitive and convicted felon, Bobby Khan, who is campaigning for a U.S. Congressional seat in Nevada, has been officially banned from all MGM Resorts International locations in Las Vegas, as reported by TMZ. Khan, once a celebrity luxury car dealer and later an FBI fugitive, received a formal notice from MGM, which his campaign alleges is connected to his recent social media posts.

On Instagram, boasting 90,000 followers, Khan regularly shares videos filmed at MGM locations, accusing the company of unethical practices such as price gauging and subpar service. His team argues that the legal notice is an effort to silence him as a political opponent.

In a recent Instagram post, Khan criticized an MGM nightclub employee for reportedly shaming a woman for her clothing, stating: “MGM is a major issue in this city with their price gouging, inadequate service, and now this. Bill Hornbuckle, you need to get your act together!”

TMZ revealed that Khan displayed MGM’s legal notice to them. Although it doesn’t specify the grounds for the ban, it warns Khan of potential arrest and prosecution for trespassing should he attempt to enter any MGM property, including the Bellagio, Aria, Cosmopolitan, MGM Grand, or Mandalay Bay. This prohibition extends to the MGM-owned T-Mobile Arena and regional properties across New Jersey, Mississippi, Maryland, and Massachusetts, as reported by TMZ.

MGM’s correspondence states it will serve as the “sole communication” regarding this matter with Khan, per TMZ.

MGM Resorts has yet to respond to Casino.org’s inquiry regarding the rationale behind Khan’s ban. We will update this article if they provide a statement.

The Reason for His Felony Conviction

Bobby Khan, originally Babar Khan from Scotland, was a federal fugitive for six years following a 2014 wire fraud indictment in New Jersey linked to his luxury car dealership, Emporio Motor Group.

He was charged with securing bank loans for high-end vehicles that were never delivered to customers. After returning to the U.S. and surrendering in 2020, Khan pleaded guilty to charges involving $550,000 in losses. He spent eight months in federal prison and continued under supervised release during the early stages of his 2026 campaign.

During his campaign, the Republican candidate has portrayed his conviction as a result of “prosecutorial overreach,” leveraging his status as a felon to push for judicial reform.

The ban comes at a critical time for Khan as he navigates major challenges in the upcoming Republican primary on June 9, 2026. Campaign finance records indicate he has raised about $39,000, significantly trailing State Senator Carrie Buck, who has amassed nearly $500,000 in contributions.
