- Strong connection with fantasy gaming.
DraftKings and ESPN have elevated their collaboration by allowing users to link their accounts. This cross-platform integration aims to offer unique, personalized features, kicking off with “Bet Your Bracket” just in time for the NCAA basketball tournaments, both men’s and women’s, commencing on March 17.

$3.1 Billion
Information was disclosed at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, highlighting March Madness as the leading sports betting event in the United States. In comparison, the Super Bowl is noted as the most wagered one-time game, with $1.4 billion staked last February.
Per H2 Gambling Capital’s data, sportsbook activity during March Madness is projected to reach $4 billion this year, a 6.7% increase from the previous tournament. This growth is influenced by the expansion of regulated sports betting in Missouri among other factors.
Regarding prediction markets, H2 indicated that attributing any dips in traditional sportsbook wagering solely to prediction markets in certain states would be misleading. It was estimated that these markets could generate a handle volume of approximately $135-150 million in states with legal sports betting, representing about 3.5% of the overall market handle.
Dominance in March Madness Betting
DraftKings users can easily access their sportsbook app, click on the “Bet Your Bracket” feature to link their ESPN account, which opens up a customized betting experience. This includes bets tailored to their bracket selections and personalized suggestions to enhance their tournament engagement.
“DraftKings and ESPN are deeply dedicated to sports and aim to improve how fans interact with key moments—especially during the peak period of college basketball,” stated Stephanie Sherman, Chief Marketing Officer of DraftKings.
Exciting Developments Ahead
“As we strive to unify the DraftKings sports experience across the nation through our forthcoming Super App, DraftKings Sports & Casino, the integration of account linking with ESPN represents a logical progression in creating a more integrated, user-friendly interface for sports enthusiasts,” she added.
Mike Morrison, Vice President of ESPN Betting & Fantasy, indicated that the “Bet Your Bracket” feature is merely the initial phase of their partnership.
“Linking accounts offers a level of personalization unmatched in the market,” he commented. “In the near future, fans will have the ability to seamlessly track upcoming, live, and settled bets within the ESPN app and on ESPN.com, alongside receiving tailored bets and timely promotions based on their preferred sports, teams, players, and fantasy lineups.”
