The Casino Association of New Jersey (CANJ) has appointed George Goldhoff, the President and CEO of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, as its new leader.
He takes over from Mark Giannantonio, President and CEO of Resorts Casino Hotel, who has served in the role for almost four years.
George Goldhoff commented: “It is a privilege to assume the presidency of the Casino Association of New Jersey and to continue the robust legacy that Mark Giannantonio established. The casino sector in Atlantic City is essential to our state’s economy, fostering job creation, encouraging investment, and drawing visitors from all over the region.
“I am eager to collaborate with our members, local leaders, and state officials to enhance this progress and further solidify Atlantic City’s status as a premier resort destination.”
Goldhoff boasts over 30 years of executive experience in the hospitality, gaming, and entertainment industries. He joined Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City in January 2023. Previously, he was the president of Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati, where he led a complete rebranding and achieved three years of robust growth, establishing it as Ohio’s leading gaming venue.
Earlier in his career, Goldhoff was on the board of Chatters Salons, the largest professional haircare chain in Canada, and served as the president/CEO of PURE Canadian Gaming, both part of the ONCAP/ONEX private equity firm. He also played a key role in launching Bellagio Las Vegas and managed the Gold Strike Casino Resort.
Involved in community service, Goldhoff serves on the boards of The Leadership Studio and Stockton University’s Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality & Tourism, contributing to various initiatives across politics, the arts, and healthcare. He earned a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MBA from Columbia University.
Mark Giannantonio, now former president and CEO of Resorts Casino Hotel, said, “It has been a rewarding experience to be the president of CANJ. My passion for this city and its industry runs deep, and I believe we possess a genuine opportunity to drive Atlantic City’s evolution into a top-notch gaming, entertainment, and hospitality location.”
