A man from Nevada is pursuing legal action against Golden Corral, alleging he was violently assaulted by restaurant employees after dining at their Henderson, Nevada location last year. In a lawsuit filed on March 5 in Clark County Court, Gary Sellinger, aged 59, claims he was attacked by several staff members who accused him of not settling his bill, resulting in significant injuries, including a brain injury.

The lawsuit states that an employee grabbed Sellinger by the neck and slammed him into a table. Other employees allegedly joined in, “pummeling, hitting, kicking, and stabbing” him with a fork. Sellinger asserts that he was repeatedly struck in the back with the utensil and sustained a head injury when he was forcefully thrown to the ground and collided with a chair.

The suit is seeking over $15,000 in damages, in addition to attorney fees and court costs.

Henderson police confirmed that officers were called to the restaurant at around 6:08 PM on the day the incident is reported to have occurred: February 2, 2025.

Golden Corral has yet to make a public statement regarding the allegations, and no criminal charges have been filed as of now.

Health Update

Hot N Juicy Crawfish located in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood was closed by the Southern Nevada Health District following a routine inspection on March 11, which revealed nine violations. Some of the major issues identified included:

• Improper cleaning and sanitizing of food contact surfaces (3 violations)
• Ineffective control measures for pests (3 violations)
• Lack of a person in charge with the necessary knowledge and certification; absence of food handler cards (3 violations)

When the SNHD closes a business, the establishment is given the opportunity to rectify the issues promptly and then can request a reinspection. If the problems are resolved, the business can reopen immediately, and the closure will be removed from the SNHD’s website.

Situated on the upper level near the V Theater, Hot N Juicy is among the most frequented seafood venues in the mall.
