UNLV’s International Conference on Gambling & Risk Taking is now accepting registrations


Registration is now open for the 19th International Conference on Gambling and Risk Taking, which is set to occur from May 26 to May 28 at the Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

This event will be organized by the UNLV International Gaming Institute and aims to address crucial and emerging topics in the global gambling and gaming industries, bringing together specialists from government, academia, industry, and technology.

“The International Conference on Gambling & Risk Taking is not just a conference,” stated Brett Abarbanel, executive director of IGI. “It serves as the intellectual driving force of the global gambling sector, uniting key thinkers and decision-makers who are shaping the landscape and expanding the horizons of the gambling industry.”

Taking place every three years, the conference showcases research and education about risk-taking, covering diverse topics including economics, public policy, mathematics, social sciences, and psychology. The last conference held in 2023 attracted several hundred participants from over twenty countries.

Founded in 1974 at the University of Nevada, Reno by Bill Eadington, this conference has evolved into one of the most longstanding meetings dedicated to gambling research, adapting over the years to address advancements in technology, policy, and industry standards.

Early bird registration is available until April 18, 2026, priced at $850, while student registration is offered at $500.
